The Speed Champions theme won't drop in full until April, just a month after the Geneva Auto Show, but they continue to release !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! that will be part of the first wave, and I must say, they're not too shabby.
Take the Porsche 911 racers above. Besides the GLARING omission of one Sabine Schmitz, the models are, amazingly, as wide as regular Porsches, although this is mainly due to the way the sides are shaped.
Or the LaFerrari:
Of the three hypercars featured in this theme, I think this is the most accurate one they've made. The lines and cutouts fall in place and actually represent the real car, and use clever parts usage all over. Maybe eliminate the studs.
But of course, this is Oppositelock, and you care more about the McLaren MP4-29 set...
and how it would fit with the Lotus F1 set if ever TLG gets the license.
Of course there are seven sets in this theme, so here are the other four vignettes for the four other sets, two of which would make for a great recreation of Top Gear reviews (just pull the helmets out and replace with custom Jeremy and Richard figs):
These seven Speed Champions sets, sporting new tires, BBS and Enkei rims in some sets, mudguards, and windshields, will drop in April.
And this is the only time someone sat in a Ferrari F1 car and felt confident that whatever is on the pit board would stay that way.

Yeah, I'll probably wind up most of these at some point in time.
If I'm brutally honest though, most of the road cars don't look great. The LaFerrari is probably the best looking one. The F1 cars are pretty sweet though.
